AMIT MOMAYA, MD

Dr. Amit Momaya is a sports medicine surgeon and serves as section head of the sports medicine division within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has had extensive training in the care of patients with shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee injuries.

AARON CASP, MD
Sports Medicine, Hip, Knee and Shoulder Surgeon – University of Alabama at Birmingham
Dr. Casp is a sports medicine specialist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has expertise in the care of the athlete, having previously cared for multiple athletes from the NHL, NFL, and MLB, and he currently travels with and provides medical coverage for the U.S. Ski Team. His expertise is in minimally invasive hip, knee, and shoulder surgery, and he enjoys helping active individuals from all walks of life.

MIKE JOHNSON, MD
Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Johnson received numerous honors, scholarships and awards during his training period, including the Thomas E. Rast Endowed Medical Scholarship at the UAB School of Medicine. Outside of soccer, Maggi is an avid college football fan. The native of Columbia, SC also enjoys going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
His clinical interest and specialty is diagnosis, treatment and therapy of foot and ankle disease, injuries, pain management—both non-operative and operative. In addition to his Orthopaedic training, Dr. Johnson is certified in Advanced Cardiac and Trauma

IRFAN ASIF, MD
Family Medicine, Sports Medicine
Dr. Irfan Asif is a Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and specializes in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Program Director Development, and another at the University of Washington Sports Medicine. He was in residency and completed an internship at the University of Washington Family Medicine
